SHOP POLICY

All of our products are designed and created by us in our home-based studio.  

The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product pictures, as each item is hand-crafted when ordered.  We make every effort to describe items as they appear. Colors on your computer may appear slightly different than they do in person. Natural materials may vary in shape, size, and/or color.

Ready to Ship (non-personalized/non-customized) purchases. Items we have already created.  Most Ready to Ship items are either created during new product testing or are pre-made popular items set aside as quicker delivery items.  These products are shipped as listed with no personalization options.  Ready-to-Ship items generally ship within 1 to 3 business days. 

Original Design purchases.  Original Design creations are non-personalized items. You order them as they are listed in our shop.  There no personalization options or questions involved.  Original Design items may be either ready to ship or have a very short 3 to 5 business day processing time.

Personalized Orders.  Personalized orders (items including names, dates, or other personal information that cannot be resold) cannot be exchanged or refunded. Personalization options should be available through the item’s shop links.  Proofs of completed product plans will be sent for your approval prior to creating your item. Please review proofs carefully, including spelling, dates, colors, and design details. Once you have approved the proofs, the item will be created and shipped. If you have questions on personalized items, contact us using the ‘ask about this product’ button on the item detail page and we will help you through the process.   If there is a mistake that is no fault of your own (this does not include typos that are approved by you during proofing), we will work with you to correct the error.  See our Returns and Exchanges Policy for details.

Custom Orders.  Custom orders are always welcome. Changing a name/date, color, or size of a design element is not considered custom, but personalized.  Custom orders take design elements we already have designed (on other product listings) and use them with personalized information to create a one-of-kind gift.  If you’d like a custom order, send us a quick note using the ‘ask about this product’ button on the item detail page with your ideas. We will respond with available options and/or suggestions and can create a more private listing option for you to view, proof, and purchase.

Custom orders can have a lengthier processing time

Commissioned Orders.  We always love creating with your ideas.  Commissioned pieces are created completely from your ideas, photos, and/or needs.  If you see a previously commissioned piece in our gallery that you love – let us know and we’ll start there.  We’ll lay out your ideas and send a quote for the final product.  This will require a bit of email communication to get the pieces of the puzzle put together but it is so worth it to see it come to life.  We can create a more private commissioned piece listing for you to view, proof, and purchase.

Commissioned orders do have a longer processing time.

Production Schedule Summary.

  • Ready-to-Ship purchased products generally shipped within 1 to 3 business days after receiving a cleared payment through PayPal. 
  • Personalized products generally ship within 3 to 5 business days after receiving a cleared payment through PayPal and final proof approval.
  • Customized orders generally ship within 1 to 2 weeks after receiving a cleared payment through PayPal and final design proof approval.
  • Commissioned products generally ship within 1 to 4 weeks after receiving a cleared payment through PayPal and final design proof approval.

Discount Codes.  From time to time we will offer coupon codes to returning customers.  Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram to be notified when coupon codes are available.  Don’t miss out!  Discount codes may be removed at any time without notice.

Sale Items.  If an item in our shop is posted ‘on sale’, refunds will not be given for the difference if you have already purchased the item prior to the sale price.  Sale pricing may end at any time without notice.  Please contact us for sale pricing duration if not listed within our shop.

Payment.  The order process is not complete until payment is made.  No products will be created or responded to until the order shows as complete (with payment).  We will cancel all orders if payment is denied.

Accepted Payment Methods.  We currently accept PayPal for orders placed. You can make credit card payments through PayPal without setting up a PayPal account. Items paid for by *E-check will not ship until the check clears the PayPal system and are not preferred.

Cancellations.  If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately.  Original Design orders may be canceled up until the time they are packaged to ship.  Personalized orders must be canceled prior to their creation.  Custom and Commission orders may be canceled until the time you have approved the final design.  Orders will be canceled by us if not paid within 10 days of placement.  Please contact us for a longer payment schedule.

Production Timeline.  Single-order original designs and personalized items are handcrafted within 2-4 business days unless otherwise posted within our shop.  Multiples may take longer to complete.  Custom orders are crafted within 1-2 weeks of the customer’s final design approval.  Commission creations will vary based on the design and detail.  Custom and commission designs will need customer approval prior to creation.  If design proof is not responded to within 20 days of being sent – the order will be canceled and refunded.

Orders often process faster, but we cannot guarantee a faster processing time.  If you are in a hurry to receive your item(s), please email us at crookedoakcreations@gmail.com and we will see what we can do to accommodate.  A rush order fee may be required.

We can expedite shipping by request – but we may not be able to decrease production time.

We generally ship Priority Mail, Priority Express Mail, and USPS First and ship only within the U.S. and APO addresses. We do not offer International Shipping.

The purchased item will be sent to the address on the buyer’s PayPal account.  The website registration address will be used if there is no PayPal address available. We are not responsible for orders shipping to an incorrect address entered in the buyer’s PayPal account. Please verify addresses within PayPal prior to purchasing.  Please contact us immediately if you notice an error in your registration information on either our website or PayPal. 

All items are inspected and carefully packaged so they arrive to you safely. Please contact us within 7 days of receipt if you have any concerns about how your purchase arrived. Packages may become damaged during the shipping process. Shipping Insurance is included with Priority and Priority Express Mail. 

We make every effort to charge accurate shipping. Shipping may include packaging materials and shipping charges.  If our estimated shipping charge is more than $2 more than the actual cost of shipping, we will refund you the difference.  If you find that your shipping charge seems high please contact us so that we may verify pricing and/or research additional shipping options. 

Please note that we have no control over the delivery time of your item(s) once your package leaves our hands. Major holidays and adverse weather may cause delays in postal processing and/or delivery of your package. USPS posted shipping timeframes may not be guaranteed.  Packages will not be considered lost until at least a month from the shipping date. You may want to contact USPS for further details.

If you are ordering an item for a special occasion (birthday gift, wedding gift, or any holiday) we strongly suggest that you allow yourself plenty of time for us to create your item and for you to receive it.  Custom and commissioned items take longer for us to create.  Productions times are not included in any listed shipping time.

Local Pick-Up may be available.

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase(s). If you have any questions or concerns please contact us so we can work together to resolve any concerns.

There will be no refunds for claims of ‘undelivered’ if tracking shows that the item has been delivered.

Shipped in Error.  Returns are accepted on items that we ship in error. Contact us within seven days of receiving your package to arrange the return; we will pay for the return postage and ship your correct order.

Damaged Items.  We carefully inspect all items prior to packaging and shipping so they arrive safely to you. If your purchased item is not as expected or happened to be damaged during shipping, please contact us with pictures of the unopened packaging and of the damaged item so we can discuss available options. You may need to file a claim with the postal service.  With a completed USPS insurance claim, we will create and ship a replacement item.  No adjustments can be made to the replacement item.  Exchanges will only be made as originally designed, personalized, and ordered.  Changes will not be made for size, shape, color, etc. – as available.

Ready to Ship Items. (non-personalized/non-customized) purchases. It is our expectation that when you receive your item you are satisfied with your purchase. However, on those rare occasions that an item purchased must be returned we do accept returns under the following guidelines:
– You contact us within 7 days of receiving your item with your refund request. 
– Item must be in its original condition (uncut, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged).
– Return shipping cost is the buyer’s responsibility. 
– When we receive the return and inspect it, you will be refunded the item amount.
– Original shipping charges will not be refunded.

When we receive and inspect your return, we will contact you by email.  If all is in order, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment, within 3-5 business days. 

You will be responsible for paying shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of initial shipping will be deducted from your refund.

The time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, will vary.  If you are shipping products valued over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Partial Refunds.  There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted.  If the item arrives to us and is not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, or is returned more than 30 days after delivery, only a portion of the original price of the item will be refunded.

Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

We will only replace items if they are defective or damaged (due to our process or error).

Personalized, Customized, and Commissioned Items.  Personalized and/or customized goods are exempt from being returned unless the product arrives defective or we made an error while creating it.  Exchanges will be made for defects and errors (on our part).

PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Crooked Oak Creations collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the https://crookedoakcreations.com website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Crooked Oak Creations.

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, fill out a form, respond to a survey, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about Users means of connection to our Sites, such as the operating system and the internet service provider utilized and other similar information.

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance the User experience. Users’ web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

  • To run and operate our Site – We may need your information to display content on the Site correctly.
  • To improve customer service – The information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  • To personalize user experience – We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.

  • To process payments –We may use the information Users provide about themselves when placing an order only to provide service to that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
  • To run a promotion, contest, survey, or other Site feature –To send Users information they agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to them.
  • To send periodic emails – We may use the email address to send User information and updates pertaining to their order. it may also be used to respond to their inquiries, questions, and/or other requests.

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site.

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. We may use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalfs, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Crooked Oak Creations has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a notification on the main page of our Site. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
